Avita Kha, or as she was known in the steppe, Adya Kha, is a woman who displays an uncanny level of confidence in the world of both business, and magic. She is most well known as the owned and manager of the Dapper Demon, but also acts as the Director of the Arcane Circle, a coterie of mages operating in Hingashi. She can be a bit of a flirt, if only to enhance her own crafts. And yet, most don't seem to mind the attention.
Those who knew her when she was still a member of her tribe, might believe that Avita (Adya at the time) died in a fire over a decade ago. Obviously, this is not true.
Her exfiltration from the Steppe, and her life among her kind, was often met with unkind words, from unkind people. Due to her appearance, she was often described as being Demon-like. Taking it in stride, when the time came to open her first business, she called it the Demon's Purse. A combination of her new, business-centric attire with her devilish appearance, lead to her being described by one local as a Dapper Demon. This one day became the name of her new, and ongoing, store.
Affiliations
The Dapper Demon
Avita's primary business and main source of income. The Dapper Demon is a host to an assortment of enchantments, and perhaps a few curses as well. Providing rare resources to mages from all walks of life, this hole-in-the-wall private market is worthwhile for any mage; from Novice, to Grandmaster.
The Arcane Circle
For the love of magic, and pursuit of knowledge, was the Arcane Circle first founded. Now a growing collective of unique and talented mages, the Circle welcomes those who share the same passion for magic and knowledge as those who had first forged the first ring, and began the journey towards what would eventually become a family, rather than mere company.
Hooks
Former Kha Tribe Affiliation
Though Avita has been away from the Steppe for a decade, other members of the 'Kha' tribe might still remember her, as the girl who died in a fire ten years ago. They will most likely know her by the name Adya. Considering her stark crimson appearance, she's not exactly the best at blending into a crowd.
Advertisements
Even if the nature of some of Avtia's business workings are a bit secretive, any good business must have some kind of advertisements. She is likely to leave fliers outside of locations that attract mages, such as the Thaumaturge's Guild in Ul'dah, the Arcanist's Guild in Limsa Lominsa, or the Conjurer's Guild in New Gridania.
Networking
Avita spends whatever time she has in larger cities to network. Always looking for potential customers, suppliers, and associates. Perhaps you've encountered her within the last few years.
